Forever Olympians: IU ties to the Olympic Games

Students, alumni, coaches and staff from Indiana University will be performing in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing this month. "The moment I found out I won the Olympic trials I was so overwhelmed with emotion," said Christina Loukas, a senior in IU's School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation who will be competing in the 3-meter springboard. "I had tears of joy when I realized I had finally done it. I just kept thinking to myself, 'I am forever an Olympian now,' which is just crazy for me to think about.
